This occurred in September of 2021 but I was thinking about it today and realized I had never written a review.

My wife and I rented a Mercedes convertible from Top Car Luxury for a vacation in Tuscany. Marco met us at the airport to drop off the car and he seemed like a really nice guy at the time. There was some minor damage on the car which we listed on the check in sheet. Our trip went smoothly but they never returned our $2,500 deposit. They claimed that the damage which I pointed out on the check in sheet was damage we had caused.

Initially, it seemed like a misunderstanding because of the language barrier, and Marco pretended to be helpful and that we would work through it. After I kept persisting, he began to pretend that he did not understand what I was asking for, despite that all my messages were translated into Italian by a friend of ours who speaks the language.

My wife got pregnant on the trip, so I just let the money go because we had too much going on. Now reading the other reviews, I realize we were never going to get that money back no matter what.

Please stay away from this company and Marco, I don't know how the police have not gotten a hold of this guy yet because this seems rampant.

I own 3 company’s. I am a very successful business owner. I have never cheated anyone in my life. You do not need to scam people to become successful. Just doing good business and being attentive to your customers will get you to immense success. There is no need to scam or cause trouble for people. This money is short term. It’s small money. Have larger ambitions for yourself. Give your customers memorable moments through making their vacation plans positive. This is the best kind of feeling you can get. People that scam never end up with success. It’s small short money. These things will always come back. Don’t forget that.

Beware - They state that the car has damaged and without any evidence or photos …don’t return deposit and block you from calling

They stole €3000 from me and keep on making excuses for not returning without any proof!

How they operate

1. Book a car through them and pay for rental and deposit, communication is good

2. You may or may not get the car you booked

3. If you receive your rental car and after you return they refuse to return your deposit

4. Make up stories about car damage and refuse to send proof or photos

5. Block communication

6. Move onto next victim

We have hired a Car, CAR was ok, we paid 3000/- Euro as deposit, during the confirmation they said only blocking from the Credit Card, but it was charged and now more than 80 days still not returned the deposit, we have used a Company Credit Card and still we cannot close the account. suffering with this deposit. Not recommending this company, unless they come-up with good solution for Deposit strategy.

Total scam and rip-off, I would certainly not recommend as we got total scammed by this company. It is not a serious company! They falsely accused us of having damaged the car and driven extra miles, which was not true (we have image evidence) and they are now not answering or calls/emails/texts. Total scam, stay away!

Don’t think about renting a car from these people, they don’t have offices they will fake all documents they will take the whole insurance deposit amount, they will blame you with car damages and extra KM
