Beware this Air BnB rental. Whilst the setting is beautiful, and my family had a wonderful time there - we were very upset to receive a negative host review, stating that we had left the house "very dirty". Although we paid an extortionate €250 cleaning bill in advance of a 5 night stay, we were publicly criticised for failing to correctly dispose of our rubbish via a complicated system, which apparently meant sorting the recycling on a daily basis. We left the rubbish correctly sorted, outdoors in the garbage disposal area on departure but had missed a couple of days of municipal collection. We were also criticised for leaving sand in the washing machine- something that must have happened without our knowledge after washing our swimsuits. Aside from thay we left the house clean, pots washed and beds stripped, I am really upset that my Air BnB profile has now been tarnished for future bookings. The house is a great space, but the soft furnishings are worn, and much of the equipment requires an update. We wouldn't want anyone else to fall foul of the same problems. If the family required us to clean the house before departure, this should have been explicitly stated, and they should not have charged such a large amount for cleaning.
